It has been a while and we apologize. School has been non-stop, we are finishing up hair and are going to be moving into nails! That's pretty exciting, so be looking for future blogs on nails. I was looking through my collection of lip products and decided to do the top five for spring.
#1 Would have to be the Maybelline Color Elixir in color #110 Radiant Bloom. This is a bright light pink with a slight hint of coral. It is gorgeous on the lips and perfect for spring. I love the way this feels. I am not a huge lip gloss fan, the Color Elixir's are very creamy and they do feel slightly moisturizing.
#2 Revlon Lip Butter in #055 Cupcake
This is a classic medium pink. Highly glossy. I do think that this has to be reapplied through out the day and it does add some moisture, although I wouldn't say it was a long lasting moisturizing lip product.
#3 Maybelline Baby Lips in color #25 Pink Punch
This is a gorgeous bright pink. Perfect for on the go. If you love Baby Lips, then you'll love this. It claims to moisturizes for 8 hours. I don't see that but I do like the way it feels on the lips. Not oily or not to drying, it is just perfect!
#4 Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm in color #205 Elusive
Sometimes you just want a matte lipstick and this is the perfect one. It is great for day or night and it doesn't dry out your lips.... easy to apply in the crayon form. You can just throw this in your purse and your out the door. I have had to reapply this one every 3 to 4 hours, I do notice that it has a little bit of a staining effect on the lips after 4 hours. Not enough though to not have to reapply. This does have the minty feel and smell to it, if you don't like that you may need to avoid the Matte Balms.
#5 Last, but not least NYC's Applelicious Glossy Lip Balm in Color # 353 Pink Lady
I love all of the Applelicious line they are light and easy to wear. They smell like, you guessed it, apples. They have enough pigmentation to be beautiful. The down side is that you have to reapply it about every 2 to 3 hours. On the good side this is very moisturizing on the lips. The color is a shear light to medium pink and very glossy.
